Ewan McGregor confirms ‘Trainspotting 2’ shooting date
The long-awaited sequel is finally in the works
Ewan McGregor has confirmed that Trainspotting 2 will begin shooting this May.
While speaking with Collider, the Scottish star dished out new details on the sequel, saying, "We haven't started yet, we start shooting at the end of May. The script only arrived very recently, which was really, really, really good.”
We already know the plot to that script, as Irvine Welsh recently revealed Renton, Begie, Spud and Sick Boy would be reuniting in the vice industry.
Trainspotting’s soundtrack, featuring Underworld, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop, is a cult classic because of its widespread and underground collection of music, and one can only hope that the sequel will follow suit.
