Emanuel Satie
The newcomer strikes gold again
Although he may not be a name you're totally familiar with just yet, Emanuel Satie is someone who's going to explode this year, take our word for it.
The Frankfurt-based artist has already released via Get Physical, Alive Records and DFTD but his biggest hit to date came in the form of remixed rework of 'I Get Deep' by DJ Le Roi.
His rework of Late Nite Tuff Guy's edit climbed to the top of the Beatport Tech House chart and made it to number three in the overall charts. Considering the Beatport charts are usually populated with stadium-sized EDM and questionable commercial bangers, it was nice to see something with an abundance of groove infiltrate the top ranks.
For his next release he heads to Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records and although 'Come As You Are' isn't as chunky as Satie's last offering, it makes up for it with deepness.
The track features trippy, meandering synths and merges the line between house and techno beautifully. The rolling drops are well-timed and paired nicely with hefty slabs of percussion. Feeling this one.
