Elijah & Skilliam deliver the best of grime in 2016
Their new CD is bursting with bangers
Butterz bosses Elijah and Skilliam are releasing their ‘Grime 2016’ compilation on October 28.
This year's edition features tracks from Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Riko Dan, Kano and Mercury prize-winning artist Skepta.
It’s the latest in a string of mixes and compilations for Elijah and Skilliam, following 'fabriclive 75' and 'Grime 2015', and the duo are pleased to present music from up-and-comers in the scene.
They said: “It's been great to see the growth in the scene since we did the compilation last year. There is a regular presence of the music at events up and down the country, and a presence growing worldwide with quality music being released widely regularly and MCs and producers to listen out for coming up the ranks.
"We wanted to follow up last year's compilation to showcase current grime anthems from the big artists alongside new names like AJ Tracey, Mez, Jammz, Capo Lee, and Rocks Foe. The second disc is more producer focused with JD Reid, Sir Spyro, Dread D, Last Japan, Swindle.”
