Ed:it - 9/10

The fast-rising Ed:it gave us one of our favourite EPs of the year on Addictive Behaviour a few months back, and his recent signing to Shogun proper marks a frighteningly sharp ascent since arriving in 2010. This EP shows off his rare range of flavours: textured melancholic soul on 'Pathways'; infectious, muscular percussive funk on 'Viewpoint'; and elephantine stop-start tech on 'Night Creeper' feat Linguistics. Expect a big 2016 from a production Jedi mixing soul and steel.
