Eden Samara unveils her latest single, 'Madonna'
It's the first taste of her debut album due in autumn
Canadian singer, writer and producer Eden Samara has released her new track 'Madonna'.
Accompanied by visuals directed by El Hardwick, it is the first taster of her album due later this year and showcases her poignant songwriting combined with innovative production.

“Madonna navigates fears I’ve experienced when first dating someone about being accepted for the most complex areas of my sexuality and queerness," explains Eden, who co-produced the track with Dan Only and Jim Junior.
"The song is based off of Freud’s Madonna-Whore complex, the male perception of women as either “good" - chaste and pure Madonnas - or as “bad,” promiscuous, and seductive whores," she continues. "Director El Hardwick and I wanted to depict these two women while also showing that they can be the same person."
Currently based in London, last year she collaborated with Loraine James on 'Running Like That' from James' second album Reflection and provided vocals on Parris' tune 'Skater's World'.

She initially grew up writing folk songs and performing in the theatre, however a trip to Europe motivated Eden to pursue her love of dance music, releasing her one previous solo EP 'Days' in 2019.
