EDC Las Vegas reports one death, over 1000 medical calls and 95 felony arrests
The three-day event reports midnight temperatures of 100 degrees
Official incident and crime reports for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2017 have been released, tolling to staggering numbers including the tragedy of one on-site festival death.
Early Saturday morning a 34-year old attendee passed away at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where EDC has been hosting its flagship event since 2011. The cause of death has not yet been concluded.
Additionally, medical aid received over 1000 emergency calls over the three-day festival, with 15 ticket-holders and one employee transported to a nearby hospital. Although the EDC schedule runs throughout the night to avoid daytime heat, midnight temperatures rose to 100 degrees during the weekend.
At the 135,000 person gathering, police and festival security also recorded over 95 felony arrests and the removal of nearly 300 attendees.
