East London venue Hangar abruptly closes

London Fields venue Hangar, previously known under the names Mangle and The Laundry, has shut down.

Emails to the venue receive an automated response with the subject line ‘Closed’ and the main text reading: "We are sorry to say Hangar will no longer be trading and we cannot help you further with you're [sic] enquiry".

The venue’s website still lists upcoming events this month, including a link to a Corner presents Avian party headlined by Shifted, Reeko, Rhyw and Burden. The RA event page indicates this has now moved to Village Underground. The event was updated most recently 1 day and 21 hours ago.

The venue also appears to have deleted its Facebook page, although its Instagram profile is currently still live.
