Dutch drug ring creates 3D printed Nintendo cartridges to hide illegal substances
The dark web operation was busted following a year long investigation
Dutch police have recently busted a drug operation that has been using a 3D printer to create fake Nintendo cartridges that were being used to hide and smuggle illegal substances to a myriad of locations throughout Europe and beyond.
Four people were arrested in the raid which took down the dark web drug dealing operation this past Friday on March 16, 2018.
The Dutch news outlet De Telegraaf reports that the four individuals involved in the illegal outfit have likely netted millions of euros from their drug smuggling enterprise. Masses of pills, LSD, cocaine and other substances had been found hidden inside the imitation video game cartridges.
Dutch police have continued to assert their concern that The Netherlands is turning into a “narco state”, due to the large concentration of drug distributors and producers that reside within the country.
