Dusky
Another dancefloor destroyer from the prolific pair
Dusky are one of the biggest underground dance acts in the world right now.
The duo comprising Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell have earned their position through a hit-heavy back catalogue that has featured a relentless stream of dancefloor-primed bangers, such as the garage-infused ‘Flo Jam’, peak-time piano house ‘Yoohoo’ and early-hours techno roller ‘Bitter Lake’.
Their 17 Steps imprint has grown from strength to strength, clocking up 12 releases since it launched in mid-2014, including one-of-a-kind dubplate ‘Sunsets and Dolphins’ and thumping outings from Christian Piers (aka A1 Bassline) and Velvit (aka D-Bridge).
Next EP ‘Buckets’ is a special Record Store Day treat. The track that underpins distant, reverb-soaked vocal chops with an irresistible bassline has been popping up in mixes and laying waste to clubs for over three years, earning it a cult status. Now it’s finally arriving in physical form, backed with a refix from Paleman. Check out ‘Buckets’ below.
