Drake suggests he was racially profiled by the Grammys
'Hotline Bling' won him Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song
Drake won two Grammys for his track 'Hotline Bling' last week, but he's insinuated the awards organisation of racially profiling him.
He couldn't attend the 59th ceremony as he was in Manchester for his live shows, and he's since expressed his disinterest in the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance accolades due to being labelled as a rapper.
Speaking on Beats 1, he said: "I won two awards but I don't even want them because it feels weird for some reason. It doesn't feel right to me.
"I feel almost like alienated or you're trying to purposely alienate me by making me win rap awards, or either just pacify me by handing me something, putting me in that category, cos it's the only place you can figure out where to put me. Maybe because I've rapped in the past or because I'm black, I can't figure out why."
Daft Punk were at the awards to perform with The Weeknd, but we weren't exactly impressed.
