Draaimolen secures Tilburg site for 2026 festival following petition

Over 26,000 people signed a petition calling on local officials to grant the festival permission to return to the MOB Complex, where it has been held since 2019

Draaimolen Festival will return to Tilburg in The Netherlands in 2026, following "uncertainty" over whether it would be able to return to the MOB Complex after this year's edition.

In an announcement shared via Instagram on Thursday (November 20), the team behind the festival said: "The news still feels unreal, but we’re beyond relieved and excited to share that the MOB Complex will remain our home for the time being."

In September, Draaimolen launched an appeal for support after the Tilburg Municipality said it would not grant the festival permission to return to the MOB Complex, the site on which the festival has been held since 2019.

“The future of Draaimolen is in danger,” Draaimolen said in a statement at the time. “For 13 years, we have poured everything into building this world with you. Behind the scenes, it has not always been easy.”

Organisers launched a petition as part of their appeal to remain at the MOB Complex, which garnered over 26,000 signatures, surpassing its 25,000 target.

In an update last week, the Draaimolen team said they were "super grateful for the love you have shown us. It means a lot to have so many people expressing their belief in what we do."

"Without your support, we could not have reached this moment, as it was a true wake-up call for politicians to re-open conversations and change directions," they continued.

On Friday (November 21), Draaimolen confirmed that it will hold its 2026 edition from September 4 - 5, offering an exclusive pre-sale to ticketholders from its 2022 - 2024 editions.
