dotwav (Jamie Haus remix)
One for the Berghain
Jannik, Paul and Tim may seem like your run-of-the-mill names but together they make up dotwav, one of the most exciting new production trios to break onto the techno circuit.
Having set up their own imprint called KONFLKT, the three have dropped a couple of sterling original tracks and a wealth of amazing remixes to boot. They also released the 'Tremor' EP via Paranoid Dancer, another fine example of the steely, techno beats they specialise in.
Now we concentrate on 'Stroke' and in particular Jamie Haus' edit of the track. Haus is a name we've been paying a lot of attention to recently as well. A resident at Village Underground's Superstition night, the producer from Liverpool is prepping for one of his biggest years yet.
He specialises in a mechanical and industrial techno sound that matches up to likes of DVS1 and Ben Sims and in his sets you can expect an unrelenting, rolling pace to be set from early on.
His new remix has already been doing the rounds and it's an unsettling yet danceable new take on a fierce, fiery original. Jittery percussions, twinkling, menacing tones and breakdowns that appear serene on the surface before making way for the another punishing drop. Exciting from Jamie and dotwav.
The 'Stroke' EP will be released on April 20
