DJs and artists respond to the closure of fabric on Twitter

There's a lot of love for the club

Fabric's closure has led to plenty of DJs and artists to pay homage to the London nightspot.

It was decided last night that the Farringdon venue would be closed indefinitely after two drug-related deaths there. Unsurprisingly, the decision, which results in 250 jobs being lost, has caused huge upset and anger throughout the dance music community.

Current Mixmag cover star Jackmaster tweeted his respect for fabric's staff members, while The Black Madonna expressed the importance of the brand's revered mix series for someone who grew up in Kentucky.

Benji B, Novelist, Daniel Avery and Skream were also among those sharing their thoughts and you can check out what was said in the gallery above.

The closure has resulted in fabric making a statement saying taking its license away will not tackle "drug-related problems" and London mayor Sadiq Khan has shared his disappointment about the result of the licensing hearing.
