DJ Spinn - 10/10

This latest EP from the Teklife top dog contains one of the greatest footwork tunes ever made (and perhaps the best bass-heavy track of 2015). 'Dubby' is a collab with Danny Brown and Rashad that ducks and dives between a beautiful soul sample, some judgement-day heavy jungle and crisp Chi Town production paired with the rapper's triumphant sloganeering. It's been hammered on radio and in sets for well over a year and to finally get it in the bag makes us very happy. Elsewhere, you can hear Taso's influence on the deliciously sleazy 'Throw It Back' (a collab also featuring Mamosa) and two on-point solo tracks: acid rinse-out 'The Future Is Now' and the lush, cloud-floating-along-in-a-perfect-blue-sky smooth title track. Perfect.
