DJ Shadow says ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ on new album
Run The Jewels and Nils Frahm feature as collaborators
DJ Shadow, real name Josh Davis, has revealed he will release a new LP titled ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ through Mass Appeal Records on June 24.
The instrumental hip hop producer made his name with the sample-heavy beats of debut full-length ‘Endtroducing.....’, but on his first album in half a decade, Davis is focusing more strongly on original composition made with an array of instruments and hardware.
Inspiration for the record was born from a set DJ Shadow performed at Los Angeles-based club night Low End Theory which led him on a journey of discovery through new sounds and sub-genres.
Run The Jewels, Nils Frahm, Matthew Halsall, Ernie Fresh, G Jones and Bleep Bloop appear as collaborators.
