DJ Seinfeld kicks off new label, Young Ethics, with debut release, ‘Galazy’

It is his first EP in over a year

Swedish DJ and producer DJ Seinfeld will kick off his new label Young Ethics with a debut four-track release ‘Galazy’, his first EP release in over a year.

The label will be reserved exclusively for the artist’s output for the time being.

Speaking about the label, the Swedish producer explains, “The name Young Ethics comes from both personal reflections and observations that I have had during the last few years. In that time, and in various ways, I have on a number of occasions been unable to find clarity. On an everyday basis I question myself, my actions and what the best way is to navigate around this industry. However my label is not intended to be a response to the many ethical dilemmas the industry and the individuals within find themselves in.”

He continues, “My suspicion is merely that at least a part of those uncertain moments stem from the maturity (or lack thereof) of the industry; indeed often times it seems that it makes it up as we go along. It is easier to say what is wrong than what is right. For the foreseeable future, I have therefore chosen to release music under the Young Ethics umbrella, as an acknowledgement of the aforementioned but also as a reminder to myself to keep exploring.”

He last released new music through Bonobo’s Fabric compilation in February and through his DJ-Kicks compilation last year.

The producer also announced a monthly ‘Young Ethics’ radio show that will run on Ibiza-based art and music platform, OpenLab: the first show will be broadcast June 5 at 21:00 CET / 20:00 GMT.

‘Galazy’ will be released on May 17 via Young Ethics. Pre-order here.
