DeWalta announces new album and label off-shoot, Horizon Pi

The imprint will serve as a home for more "contemplative" music

Berlin-based innovator DeWalta has shared the news that he is releasing a double LP titled 'Lyra' and starting a new ambient-focused off-shoot of his well-established Meander imprint titled Horizon Pi.

Calling it his most "avant-garde" and "explorative" project to date, DeWalta's new imprint will serve as a home for more "contemplative" music and will differ from Meander's more dancefloor-focused approach.

The album 'Lyra' - a reference to the supernatural musician Lyre of Orpheus in Greek mythology - is a "six-track celebration of the musician’s trippy minimal sound in all its glory" that will be released via Meander.

The single LP 'Lyra π (Pi)' kicks off DeWalta's Meander Horizon Pi Series with a five-synth compositions of meditative, score-like modern ambient works and marks the first release on the artist's new imprint

'Lyra' and 'Lyra Pi' drop on vinyl February 8 and digitally on February 22.
