Designer Raf Simons pays homage to R&S Records in latest collection
Traces of rave culture seen at Paris Fashion Week
Renowned fashion designer Raf Simons paid tribute to a fellow Belgian institute in his latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week.
The logo of prolific Ghent-based label R&S Records - a green triangle with a black silhouette of a horse - was spotted on the runway on an oversized t-shirt as models marched to the soundtrack of Mica Levis' 'Under the Skin'.
Taking over a university testing facility, the fashion show featured several other notable nods to rave and alternative culture, including smiley face ecstasy pills, patches adorned with a 'Stoned America' mantra and lab coats and big rubber boots that seemed to be pulled straight from a chemical laboratory.
