Depeche Mode ask ‘Where's the Revolution’ in new video
The single is from their forthcoming new album ‘Spirit’
Essex group Depeche Mode have just dropped the video for their new track ‘Where's The Revolution’.
The track is the first single from their new album ‘Spirit’ which is out on March 17. The black and white clip shows band members Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andrew Fletcher wearing fake beards and evoking us to "get on board" the train of revolution.
It was directed by Dutch photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn and is littered with anarchistic imagery with soldiers marching and flying flags in an industrial setting.
The single reflects singer Dave Gahan’s description of the new album as "about humanity, and our place in that", which he revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Depeche Mode also worked with Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford on the LP, their 14th album since they started the project in 1980.
