Dekmantel lines up the final release of Robert Hood’s ‘Paradygm Shift’ series

Said to embrace his trademark, minimal, funk techno sounds

Alabama-based DJ and producer Robert Hood, also commonly known as Floorplan, is set to drop the third and final installment of his ‘Paradygm Shift’ release series with a two track EP via Dekmantel.

The series was initially launched back in 2016 and also includes Hood’s 2017 album of the same name. The new material on 'Paradygm Shift Vol. 3' is said to embrace the trademark, minimal, funk techno sounds that defined his earlier material.

In a press release, Hood touched on the concept behind the new music: ‘‘The idea behind Paradygm Shift is similar to a shift in our focus. We can become so complacent; we are so comfortable with our surroundings, I think this is the time for electronic music to find a new mindset.’’

Listen to previews of Hood’s new tracks ‘Red Machine’ and ‘Transform’ below and look for 'Paradygm Shift Vol. 3' to be released February 5.
