Decka

Bristol beats with a Berlin aesthetic

We first heard of Bristol artist Decka when he released the incredible 'Begyndelsen' EP via SPE:C this time last year. The record won plaudits across the board for its unrelenting and assured techno sound and we couldn't wait to hear what he offered up next.

This was also the debut release on Berlin-based imprint SPE:C, which is run by Griessmuehle resident Darwin, an artist who's making waves in her own right with gigs across the globe.

Once again Decka appears on SPE:C and the 'Isolated' EP is exactly what we wanted it to be; Stark, cold and beautifully deep. We're presenting the premiere of the title track today and you won't be disappointed.

Bearing both the Berlin and Bristol sound, the cut begins as menacingly as it ends and once the low-end really kicks in you know what to expect. It's harsh yet maintains a danceable groove throughout and after a demonic break in the middle, it resumes its hurtling pace shortly after.

Approach with caution, in the best possible way.

'Isolated' by Decka will be released via SPE:C on vinyl soon
