Deadmau5 has bought the Rick and Morty Szechuan sauce for $15,000
It's been a week to remember for the Canadian artist
He may have tied the knot over the weekend, but that didn’t stop Deadmau5 from taking a break from the celebrations to purchase a bottle of McDonald’s Szechuan dipping sauce for a cool $15,000.
The discontinued product was originally sold as a tie-in for the Disney movie Mulan back in 1998, but has been made famous in recent years by cult cartoon series *Rick and Morty***.** Last week, comic book writer Robert Workman listed his rare bottle on eBay, with Deadmau5 among the flurry of eager bidders looking to get their hands on the sauce.
Despite not winning the auction, Workman then approached Deadmau5 on Twitter to offer up the bottle, to which the Canadian artist eagerly replied: "I'm in. Let me finish getting married and shit".
