Deadmau5 calls out Kanye West for downloading illegally
Kanye took a photo of his laptop...with a Pirate Bay tab open
Taking photos of your laptop screen and uploading it to internet is always a bit risky. Especially when you're one of the biggest, and probably most scrutinised, artists in the world.
Yes, we are talking about Kanye West and, yes, he has shared a snap of his Mac without cropping out the one thing that would (and has) got him into the most bother: an open tab of illegal download site The Pirate Bay.
Deadmau5 wasn't best pleased that 'The Life of Pablo' rapper was seemingly after a free copy of Xfer Records' software synth Serum, which costs $189, simply calling him a "dick".
Of course he didn't stop there, suggesting he and his followers launch a Kickstarter campaign, followed by "#prayforyeezy".
Why is Kanye fishing for torrents such a hypocritical move? He basically begged people to subscribe to Tidal, Jay Z's service to ensure artists receive substantial royalties, when launching his recent LP.
What's worse, he even attended Tidal's launch last year, standing right next to the mouse head-wearing man who just vilified him. Awkward.
