A David Bowie book club has been launched by the late artist’s son Duncan Jones, in honour of the musical icons favourite literary selections.
The director and screenwriter took to Twitter earlier this week to announce the online club. Jones' explained his father's personal reading habits, calling his dad a, "beast of a reader", and added “I’ve been feeling a building sense of duty to go on the same literary marathon in tribute to dad.”
The book club reads themselves are taken from Bowie’s 2013 list of his “Top 100 Must Read Books”. With titles ranging from 1945 to 2008, the first pick is Peter Ackroyd’s acclaimed 1985 novel Hawksmoor.
To take part in the club, readers are encouraged to finish the novel by February 1. For further details, check out Jones’ tweets below.
