Dangerous 'Chupa Chups' pills are circulating the UK

They're said to contain toxic chemical PMA

Warnings have been issued about potentially dangerous 'ecstasy' pills stamped with the Chupa Chups sweet logo.

Although advertised as containing "pure MDMA", it's being reported that the red tablets actually contain methoxyamphetamine, otherwise known as PMA, the harmful chemical in the 'Superman' pills circulating last year.

Apparently the 'Chupa Chups' were purchased by someone on the dark web, who then warned other potential buyers about them.

He wrote: “This seller is selling pink 180mg Chupa Chups in several amounts of listings. Let me tell you these are not MDMA. These are PMA pills. They may be pressed beautifully and are tiny and deep red in colour but do not be fooled.

“Do not take these Chupa Chups. They could well be deadly.”

Germany and Amsterdam are the pills' origin, with reports stating they're priced at just over £1 per pill, with north west England, Northern Ireland and Scotland places where they're apparently being sold.
