Cristoph

Driving beats with that Ibiza stamp

Cristoph's all about that pounding, devious and deadly house sound.

Prolific is a word suited to the Newcastle producer: in 2014 he released a total of six EPs and 12"s on labels like Defected sub-label DFTD, Underground Audio and Kitball Records. The crash-heavy, vocal-chopping 'Do To Me' was part of those, with him making the step-up to Defected last year with the Jem Cooke-featuring 'Slowly Burning'.

Much like north east England counterparts Richy Ahmed and Patrick Topping, his tunes tend to have that Ibiza stamp on them: rolling and so ready for the sun-kissed ravers. His next release, the 'Divvina' EP on VIVa MUSiC, will no doubt get a heavy run-out on the White Isle this summer, but before the season fully kicks off we've got the exclusive of 'Control'.

Driving beats are the ultimate force in this one, accompanied by some real nasty, poisonous synths and hyperactive percussion that shows no signs of slowing down for the duration. Ibiza crew: listen out for this one this summer.

The 'Divvina' EP is out via VIVa MUSiC on May 27
