Coldcut, Mira Calix and DJ Food confirmed for Splice Festival

The audiovisual weekender is back on May 26 until 28

Splice Festival returns this May for a second year to celebrate audiovisual art with performances and masterclasses.

The bank holiday weekender takes place across East London’s arts venues: Rich Mix, Red Gallery and Kamio, where over 40 international audiovisual artists will show off their skills in live cinema, AV remixing, VJing, video art and projection mapping.

The line-up will see the likes of Ninja Tune founders Coldcut, Warp Records’ Mira Calix and DJ Food (pictured) take to the stage. There will also be performances from Emergency Broadcast Network, Filastine & Nova, 1024 Architecture, Zan Lyons, Urban Projections, Mïus x Attaray Visual and more.

Festival producer Pete Thornton said: “The worldwide AV scene is exploding with talent and creativity and we are proud to give it a home in the UK. Our programming focuses on work that makes a statement artistically, by utilising digital and analogue technology in new ways or through political commentary.”

Matt Black from the festival’s headliners, Coldcut, added: "We’re stoked to be part of Splice festival, AV art being a major Coldcut passion, in our 30th year. Splice connects electronic musicians, visualists, coders, inventors and makers from the UK, Europe and beyond into a gestalt of the artform."

Tickets are available now from £15-25. You can grab them and check out the full line-up here.
