Chris Stussy reworks classic 1991 Moby track, ‘Go’
It marks the second release on Stussy’s CSS imprint
Chris Stussy has reworked Moby’s classic 1991 track ‘Go’, out now on his CSS imprint.
The remix landed today, November 1, on the sister label of Up The Stuss, marking the second release on the imprint. It follows the label’s debut release from Chris Stussy, titled ‘Desire’, in February.
Speaking on the rework, Stussy explains: “This was initially intended to be an intro edit for my Boiler Room set in Edinburgh, but ‘Go’ has been one of my most requested IDs for the last couple of months.”
“Since the original is such an iconic tune, I tried to use two main elements, the strings and vocals, and added my touch to give it a more dancefloor-esque vibe. I love to play it in almost every set.”

Stussy’s remix of ‘Go’ flips the original into a rolling tech house track, adding tasteful grooves and pounding drums over the track’s classic strings and vocals.
‘Go’ was originally released in 1991 as the first single from Moby’s self-titled debut album. The track uses a sample from US TV show Twin Peaks.
After its release, ‘Go’ topped the charts in both the UK and the Netherlands, entered Rolling Stone’s list of the ‘Greatest Dance Songs Of All Time’, and peaked at number in Music Week’s Dance Singles chart.

Stussy’s remix of ‘Go’ follows a series of other reworks from the Dutch DJ and producer, including his take on Kerri Chandler’s ‘The Way It Goes’, and Todd Terry’s ‘Bounce To The Beat’.
Moby is also taking on rework duties in celebration of the 30th anniversary of his 1994 single ‘Feeling So Real’, which originally appeared on his third studio album ‘Everything Is Wrong’.
