Catz 'N Dogz (Jamie Jones remix)

Jones brings the heat once again

We've long been fans of Catz 'N Dogz and those pesky selectors from Poland always bring the house heat, be that with their high-energy DJ sets or wicked productions. They came into the Lab LDN earlier in the year and the office was bouncing from start-to-finish.

Last year the duo released 'Basic Colour Theory' and the album proved what we already knew about the producers, with more frisky basslines and beautiful instrumentals showcasing their ever-growing talent.

We're used to seeing remix albums drop after the main event but Catz 'N Dogz have a lot of high-profile friends and the list of edits on 'Basic Colour Theory Remixed' is pretty impressive. You can look forward to new cuts from Karizma, Anja Schneider, Claude VonStroke, Matthew Herbert and Skudge but we've got the first play of Jamie Jones' remix of 'Good Touch' and it's big.

Jones has always had the golden touch when it comes to remixes and his sumptuous edit takes no prisoners. There's a seriously heavy bassline running throughout and the serene vocals of Eglė Sirvydytė are kept intact. It's a bit of a monster and some warped gurgles and rumbles give it a darkened edge. Check it.

The 'Basic Colour Theory Remixed' LP will be released on Pets Recordings on March 11
