Cassegrain & Tin Man

Brace for impact, this one goes in

Respectively, Cassegrain and Tin Man have it on lock. The former deal in steely, uncompromising techno and the latter often pushes acidic, trippy dreamscapes to the forefront. Whatever you call it, their music always brandishes a high quality sound that oozes both menace and intrigue.

Together they've released a slew of EPs and played a handful of times but even that has managed to capture the imagination of a wider dance music audience. Both the 'Carnal' and 'High & Low' EPs have dazzled and impressed across the board, whetting our appetites for more devilish yet delicate pieces of music.

Their latest venture is a four track 12" on Infrastructure New York and once again the EP fuses together their unique sounds to create a magical and at times harrowing collection of tracks. They all played a rare live show at Berghain back in May to celebrate Function's 'Berghain 07' mix CD and we've heard nothing but good things about it.

We've got the premiere of 'Seduct Seduct' and if there was a track that sums up what goes down in the Ostgut Ton madhouse then this is it. Pulsating and ominous riffs are present from the off and when backed by throbbing kicks, demonic tones and piercing hi-hats, you've got track that punishes and much as it delights.

The 'Window Window' EP will be released later this month on Infrastructure New York
