CamelPhat announce charity gig to raise money for Liverpool children's hospice
The Scouse duo will make a rare appearance in their hometown, with all proceeds going towards helping Zoe’s Place find a new site
CamelPhat are set to play a charity gig in Liverpool to raise money for a children’s hospice.
Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala will play at the Invisible Wind Factory on November 1, with all proceeds going towards helping Zoe’s Place find a new site and preventing it from closing down.
Established in 1995, the charity organisation provides respite, palliative and end-of-life care for babies and children aged between zero and five-years-old.

It recently announced that it would have to shut by the end of the year because its lease was ending and there was “insufficient time and money to relocate to a new home elsewhere", according to a statement on its website.
Since the news, a fundraiser has been launched to help raise the £5 million needed before November 9 to secure a new home for the hostel in Liverpool.
“This may include buying, building, renovating, and/or equipping a suitable building from which to deliver our services, in the future,” reads the fundraiser’s statement.

At the time of writing, the campaign has already raised over £2 million.
Renowned donors include football legends Steven Gerrard and Peter Reid, as well as MP Ian Byrne and singer Peter Hooton.
At the charity concert, Camelphat will pay alongside Yousef, another Liverpool DJ who runs the successful house and techno event, Circus.
Having met at a record shop in Liverpool, 3 Beat Records, Camelphat formed their electronic duo in 2006.
They rose to fame pretty quickly, with their first single released that year, ‘Shot Away’, entering the UK singles chart.

Their 2017 track 'Cola', produced in collaboration with Elderbrook, became an international hit and was nominated for the Best Dance Recording at the 2018 GRAMMYs.
The pair also bought Liverpool nightclub Mansion in 2011 and have been the owners ever since.
With a busy schedule playing everywhere from Ibiza to Medellin (this summer alone), Camelphat rarely get to play in their hometown.
