The Hyperdub pillars unite for a second time as Flame 2
Hyperdub linchpins Burial and The Bug have released a second collaborative EP under their new Flame 2 moniker.
The unexpected two-tracker, titled 'Dive / Rain', is a follow-up of their debut collaborative effort from March of 2018 'Fog / Shine', which they released as Flame 1.
'Dive' is a throbbing five-minute excursion that descends into aberration with crushing soundscapes and eerie drums that echo and roll with a devious precision. The second track 'Rain' feels more like a climb rather than a fall, featuring slinking bass notes and grainy drums that pan across the room in haunting and fluttering cycles.
