Bristol rapper Mushkilla blends UKG and house on new EP
‘UKGZ’ and ‘4x4’ pair house and garage production with a jungle-inspired flow
Mushkilla has released a summery new EP via ec2a.
The two-track EP is produced by Kobe JT, delivering old skool garage and 2-step influence on ‘UKGZ’ and a more four-to-the-floor house sound on ‘4x4’ to complement the Bristol-hailing MC’s signature deep and jungle-inspired flow.
Speaking about lead track ‘UKGZ’, which landed in May, Mushkilla said: “Kobe's one of my favorite garage/dance producers so when he reached with this I just had to pattern it! I'd been looking for the right vibe for my next garage project for a while and this was exactly what I was looking for, so I'm gassed to get this one out there.”

On ‘4x4’, which dropped this month, he said: “We were playing around with ideas and Kobe saw the vision for this tune with the 4X4 drums which has put this in its own league.”
He also hinted fans can “expect a lot more of this from me and EC2A in the future.”
