Brain Crisis - 8/10

Young Russian Brain Crisis has now arrived as "a real contender", according to Teebee, which is good enough for us – but on the strength of this EP, we'd go even further.

The rat-tat-tat agility of the experimental title track wouldn't sound out of place on a Rockwell EP; ditto the morphing drum patterns of 'Cure', which crosshatch their way around a viciously effective swell of warm, processed bass warp.

It's glitchy, scything tech brilliance on all fronts.
