To ensure future proofiing of the headphones, multiple over-the-air firmware updates have been promised and already started rolling out, in order to support spatial audio listening, Bluetooth® LE Audio and AuracastTM broadcast functionality. There’s a Bowers & Wilkins Music app through which the headphones can be configured, including an adjustable five-band EQ or the option for True Sound mode, which sets to the preferred settings of the brand’s Southwater Research Establishment acoustic team.

Giles Pocock, VP of Brand Marketing at Bowers & Wilkins, called the Px8 S2 “the best headphone we have ever created”, adding: “When we introduced the Px8 in 2022, it redefined what was possible in wireless headphone performance. The Px8 S2 sets the benchmark once again, recalibrating expectations for sound quality, design, and craftsmanship. It’s the ultimate expression of our mission: to bring listeners even closer to the artist’s performance – and of course, the beautiful design and finish only adds to that real pride of ownership.”
