Bored Lord announces debut album ‘Name It’ on T4T LUV NRG

The 8-tracker is set for release on Eris Drew and Octo Octa's imprint this Friday

Bored Lord has revealed her debut album ‘Name It’, is set to be released this Friday (November 3).

Released via Eris Drew and Octo Octa's T4T LUV NRG label, news of the 8-tracker comes alongside the release of the record's lead single 'Feel it' — in which the Oakland-based DJ and producer hopes listeners will hear her “whole heart in it”.

The narrative behind the album explores the subject of love as described in the press release that Bored Lord - real name Daria - depicts a love that “refuses to limit itself to just two people”.

The forthcoming album is said to experiment beyond the genres of broken beat, drum n’ bass, jungle, UK bass, Florida breaks, house and more.

Using samplers and romplers she says she wants “the industry people to be confused while the ravers understand the very moment they press play. I want to challenge everyone to name it.”

Recently, Daria has been involved in Mixmag’s Impact series where she told us some more information on her new album. She told us: “It’s a full-length album, and it’s a lot heavier than other things I’ve released. Emotionally anyway, not exactly sonically. I’m excited about it. It’s a double-disc vinyl release and it’s a lot more concentrated, not as referential as a lot of my other works. I’m nervous about it!”

Speaking on Eris Drew and Octo Octa's T4T LUV NRG she added: “They asked me to put out an EP and because I make stuff all the time, I just had one ready to go. We’ve been really close ever since, it’s special. It’s good to have a label where it’s still super DIY, a very small team, even with bookings and PR. I can trust that they’ll listen to me, I know that I can do anything I want but also not do things I don’t wanna do!”
