Björk shares six stories of sexual harassment following Lars Von Trier's response

She tells experiences about being inappropriately touched while on set

After indirectly calling out Danish director Lars Von Trier for sexually harassing her during the filming of Dancer In The Dark, Trier offered his perspective, claiming that what she stated was "not the case", instead saying that she was "difficult".

In response, Björk has retorted with six outlined instances of the sexual harassment she experienced. "In the spirit of #MeToo, I would like to lend women around the world a hand with a more detailed description of my experience with a Danish director," she wrote in a Facebook post. "It feels extremely difficult to come out with something of this nature to the public, especially when immediately ridiculed by offenders. I fully sympathise with everyone who hestiates, even for years, but I feel it is the right time, especially now, when it could make a change."

She continues by outlining six instances where Trier crossed the line, including "stroking her" in front of the crew, exploding with anger after she expressed that she wasn't comfortable being touched, instances of him "whispering sexual offers" to her with his wife standing nearby and repeatedly saying he would visit her hotel room with sexual intentions, causing her to flee her own room.

"Fabricated stories in the press about me being difficult [...] matches beautifully the Weinstein methods and bullying," she concludes. "If being difficult is standing up to being treated like that, I'll own it."

Inspired by recent headlines and the widespread denouncement of Harvey Weinstein and the abusive behavior towards women in the entertainment industry, Björk initially took to her Facebook to tell her personal anecdote about an unnamed director who sexually harassed her during filming.
