Björk is releasing a new album "very soon"

Icelandic artist Björk has a new album on the way.

Deciding to keep the announcement brief, she wrote: "I am excited to share with you that my new album is coming out very soon." She signed off the note with 'warmthness' which could allude to the title, although it is listed as 'new Björk album' on the pre-order page.

Her last album was 2015's 'Vulnicura' which saw her link up with Arca and The Haxan Cloak. The remix album featured Lotic, Mica Levi, Untold and Patten.

Earlier this year, Björk shared a book of sheet music charting her career and played a secret four-hour set at Sónar in Barcelona.
