BitTorrent introduces a new music streaming platform

Another one joins the list

With Amazon most recently announcing their efforts to join in the pool of streaming platforms, it seems as though just about every brand is trying to make its mark.

BitTorrent is the latest to launch a platform for music content, called BitTorrent Now.

The new program will operate similarly to services like Spotify and Pandora. However, BitTorrent Now's content is what will set it apart.

A deep well of exclusive releases collected through its Bundle program allows creators to upload tracks specifically for streaming straight to their fans. A majority of BitTorrent's repertoire is made up of smaller, up-and-coming artists, allowing them to offer a unique catalogue of music that cannot be found on major streaming platforms. Furthermore, it will also be capable of streaming video and virtual reality content.

The app will be available for iOS, Android and AppleTV.
