Edinburgh born Barry Can’t Swim, real name Joshua Mannie, has been all over the world this year from LA to Porto, showcasing his jazzy take on dance music.

Earlier this year, Barry graduated from BBC Music Introducing seeing him go from having his own self-produced track ‘Because I Wanted You To Know’ being used as a soundbed in a Brexit feature to playing BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

In 2021, Barry dropped his debut EP titled ‘Amor Fati’ on Shall Not Fade which later saw him join Ninja Tune with single 'Blackpool Boulevard' with Anish Kumar. This single was played out by the likes of Pete Tong as well as being voted as on of Mixmag’s 'Best Tracks of the Year' with the description: "The joint tune from the pair brandishes a sublime orchestral lead up to its dancefloor-moving, four-to-the-floor finale."

More recently, Barry has released the EP ‘Technicolour’ on Kumar’s Technicolour which blends a mixture of genres from jazz to disco to dance.
