Baauer issues a takedown against FCC chairman Ajit Pai for use of 'Harlem Shake'

The Internet has been ablaze across the past few weeks with concern about the Federal Communications Commission's choice to repeal net neutrality in the United States. Chairman of the FCC Ajit Pai, one of the individuals behind the motion to repeal the widely appreciated net neutrality law, recently released a video attempting explain his anti-net neutrality stance on The Daily Caller and ended the short with a segment soundtracked by Baauer's viral hit 'Harlem Shake'.

The cringe-worthy attempt to reach Millennials by using the 2013 track and phenomenon caught the attention of the producer, who immediately voiced his opposition to his song being used for Pai's agenda. "I'm taking action," he responded to a Tweet bringing the video to his attention. "Whatever I can do to stop this loser."

Mad Decent, the label which 'Harlem Shake' was released on, issued an official statement explaining that neither the label nor Baauer were reached for approval to use the track, and neither parties approve the message it was used to support.
