B.Traits shows us the ‘Basic Scenario’
The Radio 1 DJs’ second EP from her In Toto imprint is out now
B.Traits has dropped her new ‘Basic Scenario’ EP via her newly-founded label In Toto.
The release features two tracks: ‘Breathe Out’ which is a heavy basement techno cut with chopped vocals, and ‘Basic Scenario’, built with pounding drums and synths alongside B.Traits’ own distorted vocal monologue that resonates on top.
‘Basic Scenario’ follows the dreamy ‘Still Point’ EP which debuted in October, the vinyl edition selling out in just one day. The new release showcases a darker side to B.Traits, which she describes as “just club-banging techno”.
The Canadian DJ launched In Toto last year as a means to release music from herself and other artists where they have complete artistic freedom.
She's celebrating the EP’s release alongside special guests Dense & Pika on Saturday night at The Pickle Factory in London and you can also catch her playing a three-hour set at Church Leeds on March 4.
