Authorities have seized €2 million from Amnesia Ibiza

The nightclub's woes continue

Ibiza police have seized €2 million from Amnesia.

Diario de Ibiza reports that the Guardia Civil used tools to search the club and found the cash as well as a money counting machine.

It's been a rocky few days for the White Isle institution. It was raided two days ago, during which owner Martin Ferrer was arrested, and then the authorities returned to the club shortly after, for a search that was said to last 17 hours.

Ferrer's son Marti, who is the artistic director of Amnesia, was arrested along with the club's business manager and accountant.

The investigation is being undertaken by the Ibiza Tax Agency and the island's Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team and is reported to have been sparked by suspicions about the club's tax returns.
