Auden - 7/10

On this shadowy producer's third ep on Scuba's flawless Hotflush label, we see elements of rave in title track 'Hunger.' This yearns back to the rave era with a broken beat, acid squeelches and metallic hoover noises that would have been right at home on early XL Recordings releases. Alan Fitzpatrick takes this in a more techno direction with his blistering remix. Standout track is 'Simmer' which jacks along with its rolls and athletic synth line. 'Sewer System' is a down beat experimental track.
