Applications now open for the 2017 Burn Residency

Five-week residency in Ibiza and €100k sound good to you?

Applications have opened for any DJs wanting to compete in BURN Residency 2017, which entails playing for five weeks in Ibiza and a €100,000 contract for the winner.

To enter, aspiring DJs can upload their own mixes on official partner Mixcloud, with mixes listened to and favourited by users.

From there, selected candidates will go head-to-head with fellow countrymen, then narrowed down to a 26-strong shortlist with one winner per country. After that, the DJs will be tested at a four-day boot camp, where the group will be whittled down to 16. That 16 will perform at a party streamed by BE-AT.tv before jetting off to Ibiza where they’ll take part in their second boot camp.

Then comes the final hurdle. Three will battle it out for the duration of a five-week residency on the island, before one is finally crowned the winner. Each stage will be judged by a panel of industry experts and international DJs. Mentors and judges have included Carl Cox, John Digweed and Pete Tong in the past.

Last year’s BURN Residency winner Lollino signed with a major management team and has gone on to release a mix on John Digweed’s label.
