Apple (Logos remix)

A cult UK funky banger gets the VIP treatment

Apple's 'De Siegalizer' is one of the most classic UK funky tunes of all time. It's nagging riff is a surefire call to dance and some fans argue that the cult track is the best that the late 00s musical movement ever produced.

It's a party banger so no wonder that London-based producer Logos, who's known for making destructive grime, has made a VIP version for hotting up his own frenetic DJ sets. His take features added Junglist drum rolls and heavy-as-fuck bass bumps. It's more broken than the OG but retains its forward momentum.

The VIP's been doing the rounds on radio but now fellow LDN DJ Amy Becker has snapped it up for the 12" she's curated, titled 'RMX'. It contains four remixes, with Scratcha DVA redoing Kamixlo, YGG jumping on Spooky and Deamonds going in on DJ Haus. The record follows on from the 'Trx' digital compilation Becker released a year ago.

The wax is out on June 17 and you can get the full play of the Logos re-rub below.
