Another posthumous single from SOPHIE has landed, ‘One More Time’

It marks the second release in just 24 hours

Another single from SOPHIE’s posthumous self-titled album due to arrive later this year has appeared online, ‘One More Time’.

It marks the second release in just 24 hours, following a brand new single featuring Evita Manji named ‘Berlin Nightmare’. Both tracks appeared online in short succession, the first on Tuesday, July 23, and the second yesterday, July 24.

One More Time’, featuring a trance-like vocal sample from Popstar, lands alongside an animated visualiser. Check it out below.

SOPHIE’s second and final record, titled ‘SOPHIE’, is due to arrive on September 27 via Future Classic and Transgressive. It’s the first full-length release from the late dance music pioneer following her tragic death in 2021.

So far, three tracks from the record have been released. The first track, which was released alongside the record’s announcement in June, featured Kim Petras and BC Kingdom, ‘Reason Why’.

All three tracks were revealed by a social media account behind the ‘SOPHIE’ album campaign, MSMSMSM FOREVER, which previously teased cryptic clues ahead of the record’s release.

In a press statement released last month, SOPHIE’s family confirmed that the record had been “close to completion” before her death, and has since been “lovingly finalised” by friends and family of the late producer.

“It feels only right to share with the world the music she hoped to release, in the belief that we can all connect with her in this, the form she loved most,” her family wrote.

“This album has always told the story of Sophie’s musical journey, a cacophony of skill and creative vision eclipsing time and genre.”
