Anna Lunoe and Born Dirty in The Lab LA
In celebration of their new collaboration 'Badass'
The Lab LA is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our downtown Los Angeles office. This Thursday, we welcome back Anna Lunoe alongside Born Dirty!
Australian powerhouse Anna Lunoe makes her return to The Lab LA, this time alongside collaborator Born Dirty to celebrate their new track, 'Badass', out on Mad Decent. Sydney native and Los Angeles transplant Anna Lunoe made her mark as a favored club DJ and has only continued to grow her career not only as a producer, DJ and singer, but also as a revered curator with her HYPERHOUSE brand and presence as Beats 1's dance music maven. Her collaborator is French talent Born Dirty, who actually began writing with Anna while she was pregnant last year. They delayed their collaboration until after Anna gave birth and have finally unleashed 'Badass' to the world. “['Badass'] basically encapsulates how I want people to feel: free, bold, spirited and enjoying the hell out of every moment they have on this planet,” said Anna. “To me, my favorite tracks are the ones with a sense of humour about them. Yes they are bangers, but its light hearted - and that’s what is behind this track. Having a moment thinking you’re the shit.” Listen to 'Badass' here.
Catch Anna Lunoe at the inaugural AMFAMFAMF Festival in Los Angeles on August 18 and 19. Find more information and tickets here.
On opening duties, we welcome the Los Angeles-based Bones. Find more from him here.
