Andy Moor vz Orkidea - 8/10

To celebrate ten years of his AVA Recordings record label, earlier this year Andy Moor (pictured) called for fans to rework his 2006 classic as part of a remix contest.

Considering he asked fans to “think outside the box, break boundaries and be creative”, the winning entry isn’t as ‘out there’ as you might expect, but it’s certainly worthy of coming in first.

While it’s still very much a progressive trance tune and the twinkling melodies and chopped up female vocals remain, budding new DJ Kajis adds more atmosphere and a dirty bassline to make the record sound fuller and more up-to-date.
