Amsterdam's Cruquiusglide announces closure

The warehouse club shuts down over new noise restrictions

Amsterdam warehouse venue, Cruquiusgilde, has announced it will officially be closing during the third weekend of July.

The relatively new club, located in the industrial district of east Amsterdam, is being forced to close its doors over the noise restrictions and unexpected financial issues.

Cruquiusgilde has been open as a temporary event space since 2012, with noise complaints notably rising since it obtained its 24-hour license last year.

Closing weekend celebrations will see performances by local Dutch artists.
